Feeling safe and secure is our fundamental right be that for a women or a men, in home or in workplace. But safety and security of women are constantly being violated as a result of sexual harassment at workplace. How do we stop it? What can we do about it? Is there anything that will help us in ensuring greater safety for women in workplace? Here is the solution. CARE Bangladesh in Collaboration with UN Women has been developed a sexual harassment learning app, which will help a person to identify sexual harassment, create awareness against it, learn and practice sexual harassment high court guidelines. The main objective of the app is to create awareness so that sexual harassment at workplace could be prevented.
The app contains different features which will satisfy knowing different important aspects about sexual harassment at workplace, such as
- Why it’s important to know about sexual harassment;
- The laws that prohibit sexual harassment in the workplace;
- What constitutes sexual harassment;
- Who is affected by sexual harassment;
- What to do about it;
- What should be the punishment according to law
- How to prevent sexual harassment.
The persons using sexual harassment learning app will be able to
- Recognize sexual harassment at workplace;
- Understand and follow workplace policy regarding sexual harassment;
- Report incidents and cooperate in investigations of sexual harassment;
- Help promote and maintain a comfortable, productive work environment.
